Seeking highly qualified Child and Adult Psychiatrists to practice as part of a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, physician extenders and masters level clinicians in a Recovery oriented environment. Positions provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, initiate and monitor psychopharmacologic treatments, evaluate and interpret related labs and reports for assigned patients, and provide consultation to other staff as appropriate. Opportunities available for routine outpatient, walk-in and crisis work. Salary will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Reporting location is flexible due to use of tele-psychiatry, and a variety of scheduling options are available.

Credentials: Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and completion of residency and the specialty of psychiatry training. Must also be licensed and eligible to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina before appointment to position.

Outpatient Clinicians

ACS is hiring outpatient clinicians to provide essential behavioral health services to communities in Western North Carolina. Services include mental health and substance abuse intake assessment, PCP development, walk-in, mobile crisis assessment and intervention services, best practice group interventions, and enhanced services including CST, Intensive In-Home and Day Treatment. Clinicians will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Presently there are opportunities for both child and adult work. ACS is currently recruiting clinicians to work in Cherokee and Swain counties.

Credentials: Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field and full or provisional LCSW, LPP, LPC or LCAS.
