Overcoming Anxiety and Depression

Adults learn cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills to effectively control their thoughts and feelings. These powerful techniques help participants overcome depression, anxiety, and a wide range of other psychiatric symptoms.

DBT Skills Group

Tuesday- 10:30 AM 

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is for adults who experience challenges with emotion regulation, suicidal thoughts and maintaining stable healthy relationships. Learn to accept yourself as you are, embrace positive change, develop healthy relationships, and change thinking patterns that lead to stress and suffering.  DBT helps people learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT will involve weekly sessions for up to one year, or until the participant has gained sufficient mastery over all content areas.

Social Support Group

Wednesday- 4:00 PM

Parenting Challenges

Thursday- 11:00 AM

Group therapy will consist of parents of children under the age of 18 years old who have children with mental health diagnoses.   Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Behavior Modification will be used to aid in improving the family system. Parents will have the opportunity to address their child’s behavioral and mental health status as well as provide feedback to other group members. Group will focus on; Relationships, psychoeducation, managing parent stressors,  and Parenting skills/techniques.

Seeking Safety

Thursday- 2:00 PM

This adult group uses Seeking Safety, an exciting program to help people recover from trauma and substance abuse. Participants learn how to stay safe, respect themselves and use coping skills, rather than drugs or alcohol, to overcome pain and anxiety. Seeking Safety covers 25 topics over a period of approximately 1 year. Participants are referred by a clinician and may start the group at any point.

Early Recovery Group

Friday- 10:00 AM

Early Recovery Group is for adults experiencing challenges with substance abuse who wish to learn more about addiction, recovery, and how this may relate to their own life.  Participants learn strategies to reduce craving, understand why craving occurs, how to schedule their time, and how to connect with community support services necessary for a successful recovery. This weekly group will cover 8 topics essential to early recovery. Participants may be referred by their therapist at any point and continue until they feel ready to move to the next stage of treatment.
